I love crafts! At least I think I do. I may just love the idea of crafts. I absolutely love taking a bunch of items that look like nothing and turning them into something. When I walk through a craft store, I get inspired. I see all the fabric and imagine the quilts I can create. I walk through the yarn and picture all the blankets and animals waiting to be made. I wander through the paint and art supplies and consider all the wood crafts I could paint. The canvases I could create masterpieces from. I journey to the scrapbook section and I dream of all the amazing scrapbook pages I could build from the memories I have made. I continue towards the beads and anticipate all the jewelry I could wear out. I make it to all the fake flowers and struggle with the thought of making it once and having it forever or growing it and enjoying the experience.
I always wanted to own everything in a craft store, so I could make anything I wanted whenever I wanted. I started collecting items on clearance and buying things without a clear project in mind. Now I have everything for any project I can think of making. However, I don’t really make anything or at least it feels like that. I have more projects than I could probably ever complete in my lifetime. I am buried in supplies for various craft hobbies. When I consider doing a craft project, I am happy to have it completed but I am not entirely sure how much I enjoy it. I may just enjoy buying supplies, versus actually doing the crafts.
Carpe Diem Crafts is going to be my journey to finding what hobby I actually enjoy. I will be evaluating different types of craft projects and determining what is involved in that project. Providing links to purchase supplies, tips on ways to save, and if it’s really worth doing. I see a lot of decorative items to add to my house but often they are expensive and I think I could do it better. Some of my crafts are my attempts at doing it better. Hopefully, you enjoy my journey and learn something along the way,
